Do you want to survive?
At the end of the road
When you’re all on your own
Can you make your way home?
Can you reap what you’ve sown?
All the pain, all the pleasure, all the parts in-between
Do you know what it’s like?
Do you know what it means?
Every move, every breath, every beat of your heart
Do you know where you’re going?
Do you know where to start?
In the depths of despair
When there’s nobody there
Do you breathe in the air?
Do you still want to care?
In the darkness of light
When nothing is right
Can you break through the night
Can you put up a fight?
Every smile, every tear, every moment betwixt
Can you take what you’re owed?
Can you break what you fixed?
It’s a long way down from the top of the world
If you play with fire then you’re gonna get burned
So let the end of time come crashing down
And make it to the top before you hit the ground
At the last goodbye
At the final bell
Can you make Heaven out of Hell?

Some people never consider the possibility that their entire empire could crumble. Usually because they're far too arrogant to see anything beyond their own self-professed importance.
But on the other side of the coin - conceptually - this is a direct attack at those who judge others without knowing anything about them; what they've been through, what they've suffered or even who they are.
I think it's one of my better transgressive pieces.

I absolutely love this. I came across it as an example of Transgressive Songs & Lyrics when submitting a deviation of my own and had to look it up just from the little bit I saw there. I can understand and empathise with this on a multitude of levels and interpretations. Just from personal experience, I can give a number of interpretations that I think this would fit.
