Mirror, mirror on the wall
How we almost had it all
Long ago and far away
Better than it is today
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Did we rise to only fall
From the light into the dark
Echoes of a broken heart
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Remembering the moment call
This is where we’re meant to be
Drowning in a memory
Mirror, mirror on the floor
How we wanted so much more
Never thinking we would fail
Chances fade and dreams derail
Mirror, mirror in my hand
How we tried to understand
Even when the deed was done
After all we have become
Mirror, mirror shining bright
Tell me how to make it right
Show me where to go from here
Believing something insincere
Mirror, mirror made of glass
Is nothing ever made to last
Are there answers - reasons why
Only shards of you and I
Mirror, mirror cutting deep
Do you know the pain I keep
Every day I try to hide
Something that I can’t disguise
Mirror, mirror in my heart
Do you feel me fall apart
Tear by tear, line by line
You and I are out of time
How we almost had it all
Long ago and far away
Better than it is today
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Did we rise to only fall
From the light into the dark
Echoes of a broken heart
Mirror, mirror on the wall

Literature
Wait.
when each raising
of your coffee cup
takes both hands
and a strong gut
it’s awfully hard to
keep drinking
but there are
other, better days
when happy things
come easy as rain
smiles race
down window panes
and puddles of kept promises
kiss and play at my feet
and my hair is still
damp from those days
and I’ve learned
the patience necessary
to just wait.
Literature
Wrong
If I am a sin,
I need not be pure.
If I am so sick,
I need not the cure.
If I have fallen,
I will never rise.
If I need the truth,
then fill me with lies.
If I am a beast,
I will not be tame.
If I am different,
I'll not be the same.
If I should be silenced,
I'll sing a great song.
If I am not right,
then let me be wrong.

That Girl Who Always Smiles
That girl who always smiles
Cheerful and nice, always
That girl who always smiles
And tries her best to help you
That girl who always smiles
That laughs on rainy days
That girl who always smiles
Who listens to what you have to say
That girl who always smiles
Smiling until you look away

I can relate to this so hard. Well done. And beautifully so.
